A week in Austria

Last week, I decided to leave my worries behind and leave for Austria. Mountains, fresh air and a lot of  nature to explore - I had been craving the Wild for a while now, and this was exactly what I needed. We crossed streams, hiked up mountains, reached the snow, enjoyed the views, ate Kaiserschmarrn and relaxed as much as possible. Here are some snapshots of a lovely week!

Sunday Morning

I'll be off to Austria in four weeks to enjoy the mountains! :) To make sure I'm in a bit of shape I'll try to hike as much as possible in the upcoming weeks. On Sunday morning I was accompanied by my sister, my dad and dog Pippin :)

In addition to the wonderful weather we were treated to the sight of a sunbathing slow-worm! I hadn't seen one in years so I was pretty excited - they are so pretty! :)

Looking Up (And Looking Down)

I visited Het Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam yesterday with my colleagues. A beautiful building and a very interesting museum. Afterwards we went to a cocktail workshop and dinner - good times :) Here are some snapshots. 

Dutch Skies

I've not been in the mood for words lately... but I'm always in the mood for photography. Here are some snapshots I took while visiting a typical Dutch landscape: the polder. 

Sidenotes: the skies were amazing as always, and that little lamb in the fourth picture is NOT dead ;) The sheep were pretty domesticated, and this little one was vast asleep :)
